Switzerland

Switzerland is a mountainous country in central Europe, made up of 26 relatively autonomous cantons, located at the crossroads of Central, Western, and Southern Europe. The country has no official capital, but Bern, located north of the Alps, serves as the administrative center.
Switzerland has a population of over 9 million, and four official languages: German, French, Italian, and Romansh. Of these, German is the most widely spoken while Romansh is spoken by a very small minority.
Switzerland has a high income level and, despite its relatively small population, ranks among the five largest digital language-learning markets in Europe.
Market position 2025: The Master English app was launched in Switzerland in the summer of 2025 for German- and Italian-speaking users. Since then, usage has grown clearly, although the app's market share remains small.
