Austria

As a highly developed industrial country, Austria trades actively with countries within and outside of the EU. In addition, a considerable part of Austria's economy is related to international tourism. Vienna, Salzburg, and Linz are among the most visited Austrian cities, with tourists enjoying some of the largest cathedrals, vineyards, and spectacular Alpine regions.
While Germans make up the largest group of international tourists, more than 50% of tourists come from other countries, making services in languages other than German crucial. Nonetheless, according to a study on language use across EU countries, fewer than 50% of Austrians speak English.
